Lent, Day 40: Hosana! Hosana!!

Jesus' arrival to Jerusalem, in the midst of an enormous crowd, on a donkey, with palm branches spread before Him, is often referred to as the triumphant entry. I love this description! It implies that He's already won the victory, that He knew what was coming and didn't hesitate on the way in, that, though He was human, He had the faith to go where He knew He wasn't welcome. What an amazing amount of faith that must of taken! I cannot imagine not only entering a place where I knew people were plotting my death, but, once there, over turning tables and rebuking their behavior! What a testimony to us as well - we are to do this in every day life; we are to over turn people's lifestyles and help Him expose and teach them; He asked us to tell them about a different way to live, a way full of love and grace, His way!!
