Lent, Day 24: Seeking...

I desperately want you, for you fulfill your promises and offer true love and give blessings from above! I thank you for all these things and more - for making me, me and giving me the chore of discovering that you are you and your word is faithful and true. Thank you for making things complicated and confusing, for allowing us to rant and be frustrated as we uncover more of you. Thank you for being responsible, for paying the price, becoming the sacrifice. Without that I wouldn't be able to talk to you so freely or to ask you things directly. Without that we would still be ruled by laws and be ever fearful of death's unclenching jaws. Now we are free to know you and make you known, we are free to talk and yell and moan, and, best of all, to not fear the great unknown. Lord, I want you more than anything else because you want to know me above all else.
