Day 4 of Holy Week: Our Part

Our youth pastor started a study of the book of James last night. Now, James can be a tough book as it is very much about not just saying and believing, but doing. James is the one who told us "Faith without works is dead," after all. This goes back to what we were learning at Youth-a-Rama - it's a daily sacrifice. We cannot just say we are free from sin now that we know Christ, we must start living a life that proves we are free from sin! And how often do we share stories about what we've seen? Whether it's a movie, an awesome play during a football game, or a public marriage proposal, we love to share the experiences that move us to admiration and joy. So, why are we not sharing about the love and grace of Christ?! Why are we not shouting from the rooftops about His free gift of salvation and how to get it? This is what I think James was getting at, he wants us to live lives so wrapped up in Christ that it's only natural to lead others to Him. And that is my prayer not only for myself, but for our youth, and for you today.
