This poem goes along with a mini collection that came to mind late one night when the Holy Spirit basically said, "Wait!" as I tried to fall asleep. He wouldn't let me rest before I sketched an idea that sparked the mini collection and these words. I will post sketches later this week, so for now...
Unwrapped
In your presence I am undone
As you unfurl my iniquities
So we may become one;
A creature of magnificent beauty.
You unwrap my robes of selfishness,
Lust, gluttony, and deceit.
You work to uncover my nakedness
After my Self admits defeat.
Finally you wrap me in your Righteousness,
Clothe me with Overcoming Glory,
And teach me to wear Faithfulness
As you reveal my part in your story!
